I lost all control and it was like the car had a mind of its own.

I have had several occasions were my car would accelerate on its own and not stop. I started a complaint before and the ref number is 10995543 but more has happened since. I have plenty of documentation as does the dealer's repair shop but I'm not going to scan and upload a ream of files for nothing unless requested. I refuse to buy foreign garbage but I don't know that I will ever buy chrys/Dodge/Jeep again. I just happened upon this site after I paid out of pocket to fix everything. What is Dodge waiting for"?" this is not a singular problem, it's massive. I am still out well over $1K for the tipm & labor charges (outrageous) and no recall from Dodge on this. I paid out in the neighborhood of $4000 and lost use of my Nitro sometimes for a week at a time while it just sat in their yard & they waited to hear the horn blare (which they say it never did). They relented and credited me back "some" of the money that was unrightfully stolen but I am certain it is not all. To make the insult even worse, I caught them red-handed charging me for work which was covered under my factory and my extended warranties! the service manager downfaced me and nicely called me a liar even though I provided them copies of my extended warranty to staple to my customer file several years ago. Jim browne was clueless! (shade tree mechanic / parts changers). I personally checked and cleaned all door contact sensors before taking it in so I knew that was not the problem. It was first diagnosed as a faulty door sensor. The final time, the tipm was replaced and the problem has stopped. The only option I had was to unhook the battery to stop the blaring and the light show throughout my car.

3 months later, Mac Haik admits the guy who they sub out upholstery had two similar trucks, my co-works truck with leather, and a similar truck with cloth seats, and 30k miles, and they they just swapped seats.Total tipm failure! after at least a dozen incidents of the factory anti-theft system sounding (at rest in my driveway, driving in traffic), and several trips to jim browne citrus Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep in dade city, fl where it was un or mis-diagnosed I was charged for every dime of unneeded parts and labor which I paid. He decides hes not taking delivery of the truck until the seats are fixed (He had a loaner pickup).

Salesman says those aren't stains, just the way the fabric lays. Get's his truck back, looks at the seats, and realizes they are very clearly used. OP, he purchased a chevy from them, and asked that cloth seats be put in instead of leather (Don't ask me why, seemed silly to me). This just reminded me of a story from my co worker about Mac Haik. I highly recommend that dealership and I would go there again in a heartbeat.
#MAC HAIK FORD HOUSTON SHOOTING PLUS#
I have posted about it here before but I went on to Autonation Chevy Gulf Freeway on 45 and got a deal no one could match plus bedliner and tint thrown in on a new undamaged truck. What else would they hide? Per the other dealer, MH was getting people all the way to closing then slipping in a Hail Damage Waiver to sign and hoping by then you would just sign it. That sounded fishy to me but the fact that they didn't disclose it to me during negotiations made me realize the kind of integrity they have. When I asked MH, they confirmed it had been damaged but that it had been repaired and would not show up on a Carfax. The big hailstorm in mid 2019 in West Houston hit them hard. Another dealer told me to ask if the truck had ever had hail damage. When I was in the market for a new Trail Boss Silverado last summer I found that Mac Haik had the best prices by a few thousand.
